Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh Greetings, I was really happy to learn that Sikh university students ask such wonderful questions! Sikh youth are asking the kinds of questions that I expect all Sikhs to be asking and discussing - the very questions that I worry about us not asking! The main question, where should Sikhs turn for guidance and answers? She considers history, the Guru Granth, Gurdwaras, the SRM, Sikh Central in India and of course, the INTERNET! Starting at the top of her article: "For instance, the question was raised by students that given that the very raison d'être of the creation of the Khalsa was that the brotherhood be constantly armed and ready for battle against unrighteousness, and given that the requirements of Guru Gobind Singh included the weaponry of the day, how are those particular weapons of antiquity, including the kirpan, representative of warfare in today’s Nuclear Age. Are these symbols, of steel, of a readiness to fight, simply outmoded for this day and age?" Great questions! What are your thoughts and feelings and experiences regarding the stance the Khalsa takes to WMDs? Kamalla Rose Kaur
