Sasrikal, all!
I am interested in Sikhism and would like to have Sikh friends - both men and women. Recently I had a strange urge to go and finally buy a turban. Raja, the nice man in the shop, tied it for me. I walked out of the shop feeling whole. It was a strange feeling. A feeling I am not sure I have ever had much. I felt suddenly very connected with all other Sikhs - not that there were many in the vicinity. The other day I bought a kara, too. And today, as I was walking along the street, my kara brought my attention to the fact that I should always deport myself with honesty, kindness and goodwill. Now, I don't think I really need to wear a kara to be reminded of that, but I found it interesting that it DID remind me.
Anyway, I hope to be visiting the UK in October (I come from there) and was wondering whether anyone would be interested in meeting up.
