How has the gay culture influenced you like gay people etc.... i feel whilst being more open minded and tolerant of peoples differences its also made me very shallow... does anyone else share this view?

I'm not influenced at all! Generally gay men are shallow and very bitchy! Most lesbians try it on with girls who are in relationships! Iv seen it so many times...its disgusting..they have no self respect and give the LGBT community a bad reputation!
Personally, I will never conform to fit in.. lol its a joke how many people do! What ever happened to being an individual?

i cant speak for lesbos since i dont know much about the way they are they seem pretty scarce and decent people.
I find it hard to not be a bit shallow, i think this feeling has always been there but being with other gay people has just nurtured me to be more open about it like instead of thinking nah hes rank i wouldnt want to go with him, i tend to say it and say i feel bad buts its the truth am i making sense?
Its all good when people say oh i only look at the personality or whatever but thats soo not true i find if people think someone is not fit they tend to just put them straight into the friends box?
looks are not everything but there has to be a basic physical appeal.....

Amangsingh thats how most young people think when you get my age you mind matures and get spiritual growth i give people 90-days to thoroughly judge the person
i never been a too shallow of a person though just don't be bald or fat i see what your saying.... im not gonna judge somebody's clothes though
and think it depends on what your looking for a boyfriend or a husband....
Judging goes two-ways

I've always thought the whole bitchy attitude is a manifestation of confidence issues.... which are pretty prevalent when you're new or coming on to the scene! Bolstering your self-confidence is a way to go....and surprise surprise, Sikhi can help you with that

Absolutely!
Sluty trendy bitchy attitude is only a substitute for real sources of strength and balance. But Sikhi always helps.

I don't think it's just gays and lesbians that are like that, most people are like that - the first thing we are attracted to is a person's looks. Its just a human instinct...so don't be too hard on yourself. Yeah, I'd love a girlfriend who looks like Natalie Portman but it's important that we get on/have a laugh and we respect and share each others lifestyles, beliefs etc I have something that i'm self-conscious of and I would get upset if someone wouldn't date me bcoz of it. Girls can be bitchy, whether they are straight, les or bi - especially ones my age and I just try n remember what it would be like to be judged on that. I think its just our generation more than anything...You know they'll judge you on your hair, looks, clothes, make up, even music taste. I'm not saying you are like that just I definitely don't think its just a gay/les thing. x I agree with you thats it not confined to gay people but it seems to be a little bit more extreme among the gay community.
