I wonder how many people here have done this questionare of 20 questions, which is a helpful guide in discovering the foundation of ones own spiritual beliefs and what major religion one most closely identifies with [though Zoroastrianism is ignored in the list]. Granted this is a board for Sikhs, but how many born Punjabis are actuallt fully Sikh in their beliefs and how many men here who simply 'like' Punjabi men actualy believe in Sikhism - interesting thought!
Granted such a questionare as this will only give one a very basic gudeline, but I have always found it very usful and do it at least once a year to see how my own beliefs tend to fluctuate and change and I often find it to be quite accurate. Buddhism often features quite highly for me, as does Neo-Paganism, Hinduism, Taoism and Liberal Quakerism - Sikhism has always been in the top third [ie above 66%].
I have not done it for a year now and interestingly Mahayana Buddhism has now been replaced by Hinduism as my top identifyer, with Sikhism coming third with 92% [highest to date ] However upon reading Belief Nets Intro to both Hinduism and Sikhism I find it odd that Sikhism features third as I find myself agreeing less with the Hindu intro - ah well.
One can find the questionare here:

Thanks for posting this I just took the quiz with some fascinating results. Interestingly my top three where: 1. Unitarian Universalism (100%) 2. Mahayana Buddhism (96%) 3. Neo-Pagan (95%) I shall be looking into 'Unitarian Universalism' with a keen eye, I suppose it might just be another way of saying 'tree-hugging hippy'

I have taken it a few times and Sikhism was almost always between 90% and 100% ("dharma" religions tend to be all my top scores). I actually just took it again a week or so ago and yet again got 100% for Sikhism. I have decided to try practicing Sikhism because I keep getting it as a top score. So far it has been a beautiful experience. The one thing I've learned though is that there is a lot of conservative thinking amongst Sikhs (it surprised me because Sikhism is so progressive in many ways). I grew up some after recognizing that no large group of any faith/ethnicity/etc., will all think alike. I'm wondering if there is a "sect" of Sikhs who are viewed as more progressive. I'm thinking 3HO (when they practice Sikhism as part of it). Gurnoor
