I think this subject might be important to some of our members so i thought maybe we should talk about it for their benefit.
I`ve heard new UK government is about to change the immigration policies and basically they are going to make it tighter but i don`t know much about the details.
If anyone has any useful information about that please share it with us.

I heard also the immigration controls will be made tighter. They say this, but decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. Depends what category of application you make to enter the UK - they all vary - be it working visa (which I know for a Tier 1 working visa you need to have a masters degree as a minimum requirement, as well as the standard criteria - i.e speak English). The requirements for spouse, partner, fiance - are again different. a good place to start on getting information first hand is via the UK Border Agency.. www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/britishcitizenship/And for real life experiences - Passport Control - the TV show (can't remember what channel)... which is pretty entertaining to watch!
