Hello,
I am not Sikh (or a believer in any religion), neither Asian, but I find your religion and your community very beautiful and interesting as I read more about it lately. Yet, I'm still wondering. As a gay man, is it possible that I could one day meet and date another Sikh man? I know it is really a difficult issue being out and I think I understood that it is not very well-seen to date outside of the religion. For example, do gay Sikh use smartphone apps like Grindr to meet one another in regions where it is more difficult to be out? Thanks for your answers, and keep it up guys, you are all great!

I'd say the answer is yes. I don't generally date Sikh guys although I'm a Sikh myself.

Hey Why would it not be possible for a gay sikh to date a non sikh? Religion is something thats personal. Surely when u fall for someone, its not their religion u fall for right? It comes down to the individual. Do gay sikhs use Grindr? Im sure there are sikhs who use Grindr but i wouldnt generalise and say all gay sikhs do or dont use such platforms. Again, thats down to the individual right.

anyone can date who ever i think it would be a preference on if someone wants to date someone who has the same faith as them....so far as being sikh....i think there wouldn't be anything restricting someone on the religion since its considered taboo? Parents/family would want their son to marry someone from the same culture/religion/or even caste if they follow that, they wouldn't really want their son to be dating a guy in general so the religion wouldn't be taking any precedent there....
