What was your first impression of your current partner, past love or someone you met recently? Some studies have shown you will create a first impression within 7 seconds or less of meeting a person without even opening your mouth to speak!
Some interesting stats about how we respond to people:
55% we respond visually 38% we respond to sound (voice) 7% we respond to words 60%-75% is non-verbal communication

I really disliked my partner at first sight but then they grew on me, sort of like how fungi begins growing on out of date food. How romantic. It's true about first impressions counting though, we usually known instantly whether we like a person or not just by the way they carry themselves and say hello. One thing I find off putting is when you're introduced to someone and they don't make eye contact, really rude.

Nah.. nothing to do with that at all. My friends are awesome.. you can pick your friends but not your family! That's just the reality of life and relationships!

You're sick to death of the 'same mindless people' and yet these same people are 'awesome'?
Maybe we choose our parents before we incarnate into this lifetime. Sikhism believes in reincarnation as do most eastern religions and movements, many people believe we keep reincarnating within similar soul groups too which would explain why we make such provocative and deep bonds that seem more familiar than we recognise.

Yes! If you read it again you will notice I am referring to past relationships/women I have met. Not my friends.. and again they are awesome not mindless people! I don't dwell on reincarnation or what religion says. I am born Sikh but do not follow it or any other religion.

Ok but if you look at your original post it's not past tense you wrote 'Now...I havent really been interested in anyone. Sick to death of the same mindless people.' notice the present tense description.
It's not about dwelling on reincarnation or religion. You don't have to be born into any religion to be a spiritual and open minded.

Also given that this is an LGBT Sikh forum it's pretty normal for people to hold religious and spiritual beliefs.

This is not an academic piece of writing where my grammar must be correct! Im sure you know exactly what I meant.. would you like me to elaborate for you if you dont?
Well that is obvious enough.. people are entitled to their own opinions and should be able to discuss or express their own beliefs (you have no idea what I believe). Dont patronise me.. its not a pretty look.

You don't have to write an academic piece, just say what you mean, it's quite simple.
I could also say this comment is quite patronising 'I don't dwell on reincarnation or what religion says.' if you don't like to dwell on such things I'm not sure you're in the right forum since this is a Sikh LGBT forum if you hadn't noticed. If you want to write patronising things about people who have spiritual beliefs then you could find an Asian LGBT forum that's specifically not Sikh orientated.

So you know what I meant then.? Just being awkward because you have nothing better to do?.
Nah.. it wasn't a patronising comment. That was me telling you! I didnt see how that comment was related to what the topic is about and what I said!?.
You have no right to tell me that im not welcome on this forum.. call your self a Sikh?! Lol It seems to me that you have a narrow mind.. you need to go deep!

Hi guys you've both made valid points but let's try to get along, numbers are already low in this forum and we don't wish to put off any one from posting. We could do with each and every person that contributes. Also there's never any real need to get personal with comments.

Very true.. people will read stuff like that and run a mile! So what if we don't all believe in Sikhism.. I did at one point in my life but not anymore.
That doesn't mean I cant help others on this forum who are struggling.. It would have been great if this exsisted when I came out.. Its a scary thing and can be a dark lonely place when you have no where to go.. or anyone to turn to. Not everyone finds comfort in religion.. sometimes it takes more than just that alone.
However.. I really don't appreciate anyone getting personal with me for no apparent reason.. no need for it at all!!
