There will be the 28th Bisexual Conference in London on the last weekend of August (26-30). Anybody can attend. On the 27th (saturday) there will be a session about BISEXUALS OF COLOUR at 11.30-13.00. I think it can be interesting for some of the Sarbat members too.
Here is the link for the conference where you can find more information about the program and the venue as well:

My name is Kevin and I'm from BC, Canada, where the Sikh diaspora is large... I am a Filipino-Canadian and 21 years of age!
I actually am transgendered: brain is female, body is male... I'm still wondering whether I should change my body or not... nevertheless, it would be nice to find a nice husband for me to serve.
Why am I on here? Because I do like Sikhism; I am a devotee of Krishna, a Vaishnava, or a Hindu, and I like Sikh culture and the way of life. I have started reading bits and pieces of Sri Guru Granth Sahibji, and I absolutely like it.

Hi everyone my name is Sonia, I'm proud sikh bisexual as you can tell by my username. I'm from U.S an undergrad student. I'm 19. I'm actually not in the closet anymore.... surprisingly. Don't know how but I did it... I told my parents earlier this year. It was a shock. I had to sit there and explain a lot of things. They still think its a "sin" and all that but they are trying to understand it since they know that the fact hasn't changed who I am. The fact that really bothers them is that I am with a girl. Yes I have a Caucasian Italian girlfriend but she loves my sikh religion and has adapted so well to it. She comes to the gurudwara with me sometimes and we go to Indian restaurants. lol She even watches Hindi movies with me...what more can i ask for huh? Lol Well that's a little bit about me and my life. I hope I get to know everyone here since I know I can relate probably the most to so many people here.
Sonia, it's great to witness here you being so authentic with your parents. It takes time for most people to accomodate new and significant information, so no doubt things will ease. Enjoy and good luck.
