Some days before I had a chat with someone that can't be a person spiritual and homosexual at the same time? The answer was, as expected, a no. Then I again questioned him, if a person is spiritual after being a heterosexual, then why can't a homosexual be?
He said homosexuality is against the law of nature. Then I asked, who created those persons who are homosexual from birth?
He ruled out everything else and said that homos are sick, mentally as well as ethically. I didn't continued that discussion for long as that person started trying everything to prove himself right. And he is not alone, there are many more like him who treat homosexuality as a disease. Some still think that people are homosexual by choice. In this 21st century I don't know what would act as an eye opener?
I was searching on Internet and got the following link where some people tried their best to ban Sarbat.net .
www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?/topic/35341-gay-sikhs
I feel sorry for them.
If they can't acknowledge our presence then let us live our own life. We are feeling lonely, can't disclose anything, want to lead a righteous life and above all be Spiritual. At least I can say that homosexuals are least involved in anti-human activities. All these barbaric acts are mostly accomplished by heterosexuals. Still many don't hesitate in saying that homos are mentally sick. In fact homos are much more intelligent than these straights. If you search google then most artists, painters, musicians, designers, sculptors, singers, actors, dancers, writers, poets, scholars, etc. were homos. Those in doubt check the following link:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_gay,_lesbian_or_bisexual_people
Homosexuality is not by choice. Its law of evolution and is widespread in animal kingdom including humans. Homosexuals are not lustful of sex but they can be strong lovers. And Love is considered divine in all faiths including Sikhism as said by the Tenth Master In Saviyye Paatshahi Dasavin
Saach Kahoon Sun Leho Sabhe,
Jin Prem Kiyo Tin Hi Prabh Paayo!!
So the one who consider gays and lesbians as a threat to the community, need to rethink.
